Corona Virus Update – Whetstone Salon Closed Until Further Noticce

Thank you for your continued support and patience and for submitting the Appointment Confirmation Forms recently sent out. We will be contacting everyone this week to rebook and confirm your appointments. All current bookings can be moved forward accordingly and for those with requests for sooner appointments, we will do our very best to accommodate everyone.

We also wanted to let you know about the safety and social distancing measures that have been put in place in the salon. All the Whetstone staff have undergone official training from the Irish Hairdressing Federation following the government and HSE guidelines. We know some of you will be feeling so excited about coming in to see us while others will be feeling somewhat nervous and anxious. It is our goal that every single one of you can feel comfortable in our salon. As such, we are kindly asking that you:

Arrive alone for your appointment.
Please use a face covering/mask when attending your appointment (we will provide them for all staff and clients).
We appreciate your prompt arrival. If you are late, we may have to reschedule.
Wash or sanitise your hands when you arrive at the salon.
Keep a 2 metre space between you and anyone else in the salon when at all possible.
Do not touch or shake hands with anyone else in the salon.
We are also asking customers to reschedule your appointment if:

You have experienced any cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days.
Have been in contact with anyone with cold or flu symptoms in the last 14 days.
So that our salon is as safe as possible, you will have a slightly different salon experience than before:

The use of the cloak room will be suspended for the time being. Please limit the amount of personal items you bring with you into the salon. Anything brought in will need to be kept with you at all times.
There will be no magazines or reading material available.
Appointments are spaced out to reduce the number of people present and to allow extra time for cleaning/sanitisation.
We are only allowing 1 client per staff member at a time.
Sanitising of personal spaces and hand washing will take place in between clients. As well as more frequent cleaning of high touch common area surfaces.
We will continue to use single use gowns and towels for each client.
Staff have been informed and trained on sanitisation best practices.
We are constantly monitoring the situation and will keep up to date with all the Government and HSE guidelines.
Important Notice and Notes:

Upon reopening on the 29th June 2020, we will be increasing the price of all of our services by 5%

The total price for your normal colour service might also be slightly higher then usual due to the amount of colour and time needed to get your colour looking like new again.

Please arrive with clean hair ie: no colour spays or powders in your hair as this could affect your colour development.

If you have not had Aveda colour in the last 6 months you will require a patch test at least 24hrs before your appointment. ( you need to make an appointment for this as we currently have a no walk in policy )
