50 Shades Darker European Tour – Looking After Writer El James
This year has been very eventful for me. In February, I was requested by EL James the writer of 50 Shades of Grey & 50 Shades darker books to look after her hair and make up for her European Fifty Shades Darker tour. I packed up my mobile hair and makeup kits and I was off. First stop, Hamburg, I got to experience my first private jet flights for the tour, it was awesome! We did a premier a night along with all the press junkets and photo calls in each country from Hamburg to Madrid and then finally back to London where I was invited to attend the premier and after party. It was a great end to the four days work.

BAFTAS – Aaron & Sam Taylor Johnson A few days later and it was BAFTA time again, this time I was requested to look after hair and make up for Aaron Taylor Johnson (nominated for best supporting role in Nocturnal Animals) and his wife Sam Taylor Johnson. I was in and out of the stunning Claridge’s Hotel for 2 days for the BAFTA parties and events they attended. Aaron and Sam are such a lovely couple and it was great to work with them again.

Warsaw, Poland – Daniel Bruhl Zookeepers Wife
In march I went to Poland to look after Daniel Bruhl for the movie Zookeepers Wife. I looked after him for Premiere and press junkets, It was my first time in Warsaw. I spent 3 days there of which I got a bit of down time to explore the city, such a mix of old and new everywhere, the people were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help, Daniel was great fun to work with, he has a good sense of humour and we had lots of laughs on the trip.

I m loving all the variety of my work and the travel even though tiring at times is so exciting, when I come back to the salon in Dublin it always feels like home, its so lovely to see all the familiar faces and catch up with everyone.
